EOSS Homepage
The EOSS homepage was ready for a redesign. The institutional terminology was replaced with words that speak more towards the end-user. A new page was designed using features such as CTA button fade-ins, image borders, and a full-width parallax image to give the page a modern, 3D look. We wanted to start telling the EOSS story, so a dynamic section with updates that show the latest news and events was added to the page. An auto-play video that tells the EOSS story was added in the hero section. We felt that rankings are a very important part of ASU webpages today, so we added several important rankings. At the bottom we tell a current story about the 3 main units of EOSS.
Student Organizations
The original page was text-heavy and was in need of a redesign. Through our UX research with heatmaps and Google Analytics, we found most users were jumping right to click on the link to SunDevilSync, without knowing what to do next. This new design focuses on telling the story of a student organization, and then prominently displays the steps the user needs to take when they want to join an organization or club. Full-width parallax images, animation and image borders were added to make the page look more professional. At the bottom of the page is the CTA to the SunDevilSync site.
Student Services
The original page was filled with a lot of institutional terminology and had a flat design. We simplified the page to make it more of a visual storytelling piece of what each unit does. Flip card functionality was added to give the page more of a dynamic experience.
Roger's Camping Trailers
Through several UX research methods such as a usability heuristic evaluation, persona study and content audit, we found this site should be updated. We gave the site an improved design, updated images, added several important CTA buttons, showed a picture of the owners to help build trust and brand recognition, added a stronger hero image that speaks to the camping trailer buyer, and added more prominent business information in the footer for better usability.
